We've just subscribed to the idm list, and thought we would
circulate this FYI.

jointly run this cutting edge label. The Aphex Twin is currently
signed to Warp in the U.K. and Sire in the U.S., recording
exclusively for Rephlex under the guise of Caustic Window and
AFX. New Album artist signings are Mike Dredd (aka Universal
Indicator and The Kosmik Kommando) and Mike Perradinas (aka
Muziq) whose debut double album 'Tango n' Vectif' has been
highly acclaimed for its innovativeness and fresh outlook on
machine music.

Their debut LP "Electro-Soma" was released on WARP in the UK.
Their own label B12 serves as a vehicle for their
pseudonyms Cmetric and Redcell and other likeminded individuals
(e.g Steve Pickton 'Stasis' ) influenced directly by Detroit
Techno pioneers Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Larkin and
Carl Craig etc.

'Scanner' CD series comprising solely of recorded phone calls
ranging from drug deals to sex talk to the downright bizarre - a

MIDI CIRCUS PROJECTS

A special label set up by Charlie Hall & Lol of THE DRUM CLUB
(Big Life) as an independent vehicle for likeminded live playing
electronic acts such as Drum Club, Orbital, Aphex Twin, System 7
(Steve Hillage), etc., to release projects away from the
constrictions of Major label land. The first release was a Drum
Club remix of the 4AD band Lush's Stray. Future projects in the
pipeline include collaborations with Robert Owens, Jimmy Cauty (
K L F ), Saffron ( N Joi ), etc.

Birmingham based label Beyond have released a series of
compilations under the general heading Ambient Dub , not unlike
Warp's Artificial Intelligence sequence, with contributions from
The Higher Intelligence Agency, who, like Orbital, have built up
a strong club following by performing 'sequencer live' sets at
venues such as Club Dog, Whirl-Y-Gig, Sugarlump and their own
night Oscillate.
