Okay, so here is the review that I promised, it is kinda long in its
original form, so I will try to cut to the chase in this version. If anyone
wants the original (yeah, right :) ), you can e-mail me for it.
"It is VERY hard to OBJECTIVIZE music reviews! But we must strive for it.
Later, though."
CD1--70:06
1)Perry & Rhodan--> "the beat just goes straight on and on" 6:07
Has a semi-house feel. It is smooth in composition. For those of you who
like trance and house, this is a great groove to dance to in that genre.
Label: housey hard trance
2)OBX--> "eternal prayer" 7:53
great hardtrance with vocals reciting the "eternal prayer." Good, solid,
distinct basslines layered. At a rave this would be a "stomer."
Label: hardtrance
3)Influx--> "vs128" 3:37
The bass line sounds like a breakbeat, but isn't always played. If it
were, it would put one into a "dancing trance."
Label: breakbeat trance
4)RD1--> "eclipse" 8:28
You'd be dancing to this song, listening to the ambience while you didn't
know what the bass was doing with your body.
Label: ambient/acid/trance
5)Escape 3--> "escape to neptune" 6:10
This song just seems like it is a little monotonous (but what trance song
isn't, right?). It IS a good song though. A contradiction? I don't know.
Label: hardtrance
6)Transform--> "transformations (the irresistible force mix)" 9:16
Silky smooth female voice making a melody. Good "morning music" for
after a rave.
Label: acidic ambient
7)Syzygy--> "organik" 7:30
Good, well orgainzed, hard trance. It has a lot of breaks. Maybe that is
why the name "organik" sticks to this song.
Label: breakbeat trance
8)Influx--> "tiny green spots" 4:51
This song would give a fresh breath after a set of exhaustive hard trance.
Label: acid trance
9)Tranquilizer--> "tranquilizer" 8:37
Would "light psycho trance" be a label? Has an almost cheesy rap bassline
from that song "It takes two to make a thing go right."
Label: ambient breakbeat
10)Balil--> "parasight" 7:32
Very good light acid trance. I could listen to it forever.
Label: light acid trance.
CD2: 70:30
1)Syzygy--> "discovery" 10:46
Interesting wavering sound, acidy, ambient naturistic sounds, sonic bass.
Label: slow, ambient, hard trance (whatever _that_ means)
2)Dreamfish--> "school of fish" 18:20
Pure ambient bliss
Label: ambient
3)Sequential--> "everything is under control" 6:47
Label: good ambient/trance
4)New London School of Electronics--> (I forgot the frickin' name, didn't write
it down) 10:51
Vocals like Deep Forest-better though. Great tribal trance. Best song on
the album!
Label: TRIBAL TRANCE!!!!
5)The Irresistible Force--> "flying high" 15:30
Very sonic ambient! Good.
Label: ambient
6)Cybertrax--> "drifting (throught the galaxy)" 8:14
Cool bass, you feel like you _are_ drifting on waves!
Label: ambient.
Comp. as a whole, VERY GOOD! A GEM in any collection of Trance!
