I did hear this and I actually thought it was amazing. I know what you're talking about the dynamic range, but I think it grew on me the more i heard it. I was driving the inland island hiway on vancouver island and had it cranked with the windows down and it sounded phenomenal. I am curious if you're hearing what im hearing tho..... I'm not really familiar with his work - I got it to review for the college radio station where I have a show. To me, the recording sounds TERRIBLE - it is twice as loud as it needed to me and it just sounds ruined. No dynamic range at all. I"m gonna load this into audacity or something when I get home for shits n' giggles, but I already know what I'm going to see. It's one thing if you're a noise artist, but this ain't noise, and even most noise has more range than this. This seems odd to me, since it was reasonably well-composed and had potential, as far as I'm concerned. I've heard a few decent reviews of this from reviewers I trust, so I'm wondering if I got a bum CD? --wendy --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
