While it doesn't break new ground, I would argue that it is an
outstanding release - if only because there is very little out there
that fits the IDM category any more for it to stand out against. And as
I mentioned below, it does hold its own against the releases that are
usually considered formative for the genre.
While this moves through familiar territory, it does so with expertise
and acumen - and it isn't simply re-drilled dubstep as is so much of
what is afoot these days.
About 5 spins in, I'd place on the shelf next to Bola, and in my book,
that's an accomplishment.
