Autechre ought to get past the dark room thing and come up with something surprising. Why don't they put up a show with proper visuals in the vein of that DVD they put out 4-5 years ago? That'd be cool. And technology has evolved a lot since 4-5 years ago, they could have something like that 3D video animating in realtime with their music... There's plenty of people out there doing crazy visual stuff with proce55ing and other similar technologies... Take this for an example http://www.vimeo.com/658158 Autechre have a great following, they're the one who should be pushing the envelope. I'd sure be ready to pay more than 18 bucks a ticket if they had a better show. If they continue like that, nobody will go see their next shows cause we've all seen it 5 years ago... I remember seeing Panasonic several years ago and they had this cool vertical sound wave visualization going on while they were playing, it was very simple but it made a big difference, without it the show would have seemed pretty boring. something other than the most boring live show i've ever seen is what i'd like them to do. i'm not their target audience tho for their live show so whatever :)
