hopefully you are aware that the city is very lounge and pop house friendly. then lower on the pecking order is minimal techno or legitimate house. then you have a parallel universe of indie rock and the blending of electro and the rock hispters in what i call new disco. idm is definitely on the far end of anything common. so is dos and linux and hacking music. there are one of shows rarely and i would refer to rhythmism.com for those. just watch out for all the club nights. there has been a lot of detroit techno though it seems.
