hello idm and ambient lists,
i've been helping with an innovative new online music community site. the short of it is that artists upload soundfiles as 'bubbles' which they create compositions out of in an organic fashion. but then you get to borrow other people's bubbles and add them to your own piece. its free to signup. no money is exchanged. even if you cant upload sounds you can still make a composition by just borrowing from others. its a great format to spread your sound/noise.
compositions created already by (but not all uploaded yet):

before you go farther you should know...
1.) FireFox works best for now (but it should operate on everything)
2.) Need Java (5+), they will know if they don't!
3.) Must be mono-wave files under 10 seconds (for now)
4.) Post nothing you do not have the rights for
to start playing, you have to first sign-up. i swear this takes less than 20 seconds and the only real information we need is a valid email address.

things are moving quickly for BBs right now, and we are presenting/launching at DorkBot on February 6th in nyc.

we want to cultivate the most artistic and creative soil we can on this site to hopefully inspire a high level of quality of all future users. also, because your samples will get up there first, yours should spread the farthest.
once you're on, you can go through the tutorial (just follow the tab) or go straight to your beats page and start uploading.

IMPORTANT: for now the only filetype that can be uploaded is mono-wave and please keep the samples under 10 seconds (it really helps with the page loading). this will expand to more filetypes in the future.
ALSO: the agreement basically states that you are the owner of the material that you are uploading. please, do not upload any sampled material.
