i listened to turningdragon three times on headphones today and my personal solution was to listen without 'vulcation veins' or 'truncation horn'.. tracks 2+3 respectively. to my ears these were failed experiments and taint how i view the rest of the album. good album, not the greatest thing on earth (as i think all three previous releases were), but very good.
misses some of the sentimental moments that he let through on previous releases, but hey, he's dragon now! :>
