One of my favorite NZ producers recently played a live set at
our only regular minimal techno night . Minim .

Simon Flower aka Peak Shift was one of the initiator of
Nurture Recordings which released several vinyl pressings in
the 90's. This is a pretty unique feat in our isolated little islands,
with our even smaller electronic scene.
Simon & the Nurture label was/is an inspiration for me in an
environment of very limited local electronic content.
While the laptop performance has still not become a major
feature on our landscape, the past few years has seen a growing
number of live performances from some emerging and old school
artists.
Currently Minim is single handedly putting electronica back on
the NZ music map, with recent Dj appearances on a local cable
music channel.
If you are ever in NZ and need a place to play ' and some nice
people to stay with I am sure the Minim crew will help.
