Can you describe the sound ? What frequency is it at .. ? Is it a scratchy sound a hum a whine a hiss a buzz .. all these sounds help to identify the type of fault it is. It's all about signal path ' and finding at what stage in the signal path the noise is occurring. ] Can you hear the noise when you are not playing anything?
