I wanted to pass on another call for audio for flipside.
all the text below can be found here as well:

__
This is a call for submissions of Audio to be played at Burning Flipside, 2006.
**Submission instructions/deadline are at the bottom of this message. Please do
not send submissions to this address (tofu-at-kuci-dot-org), though questions
are always welcome!
**There is an additional call for audio at the bottom of this message as well.
For those who do not know, Burning Flipside is a regional art and music
festival inspired by Burning Man in Austin, TX. It is a fantastic little (?)
event.
http://www.burningflipside.com
The GENERAL IDEA:
Audio will be played from at least 3 sound sources (boomboxes) in a beautiful
canyon during the very late night/early morning 3am-9am. Depending on the
submissions, each sound source will have an MP3 CD playing of all the
submissions, but in different orders, thus creating an overlap of sounds with
eachother and the environment.
All sounds will be created by the submitter (ie, no submitting someone elses
work, your favorite Nurse With Wound, Merzbow, Farmers Manual track etc -
unless, well, you are part of one of those projects).
INTENTION/HOPE/REASON/WHY?WHY?WHY?:
- To give people an outlet to share music that doesn't always have a forum
- To allow artists to try something new in terms of noise/experimental
music/audio collage/field recordings, especially those new to creating such
things
- To bridge the gap a little more between the Austin Burning Flipside and the
experimental music communities
- To give myself an excuse to make often horrible noises
- To give 3 lonely boomboxes reason to go on
- For the hell of it, really
SOUNDS REQUESTED:
No music! No music! No rhythm!
Noise, field recordings, soundscapes, tones, drones, fuzz, blips, bleeps,
happy, sad, light, dark, quiet, loud, soft, harsh, short, long, analog, digital
- anything is fine so long as you create it (or record it, in the case of
field/life recordings).
SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Friday, May 5 2006 (Event is May 25-29, and depending I may be willing to take
additional submissions pretty close to then, so feel free to ask)
SUBMISSION PROCESS:
Please include your audio file (or a link to download it), your contact
information and anything else you'd like to add when submitting. Please note
in the subject of the email that this is audio for Flipside 06.
MP3s - links can be emailed, or actual files can be sent to:
muzakproject-at-gmail-dot-com
CD/CDRs - CDs of material can be snail mailed to me (email me for address) or
given to me if you live in the Austin area (email me for more information)
I most likely will not accept material at or near the time of Flipside (I will
be burning everything down to MP3 CDs the weeks before the event). MiniDiscs
and cassettes are a pain - but if you need special consideration, please ask.
You can certainly submit multiple pieces. Duration is not that much of a
concern.
BONUS SUBMISSION OPPORTUNITY:
My friend Danielle is in charge of the porta-potties this year at the event and
would love to have some related/themed/(in)appropriate audio for them. If you
have anything you think would be nice to share in such an environment, please
feel free to send that along to me as well (same submission process as well,
but please note it is for flipside 06 porta-potties in the subject of any
emails!)
Thank you to everyone who contributed pieces the last two years! You have kept
this fun and interesting to do.
