funny, that's the opposite of my reaction. just hearing the EP
preceding that i could see he had coalesced into a solid style.
'clarence park' was pleasant, aphex-like, and a decent warp release,
but to me he was just "another warp artist".
'empty the bones' was a major work that announced that chris clark
not only belonged on warp, he had created his own sound from the
ashes of the old 'idm'. those ashes were chopped up, melted down,
fused into blackened glass, broken into shards and lovingly rebuilt
into a fantastic dark sonic sculpture.
definitely looking forward to the next full-length.
