My main pro is I have found that ableton live 5 was able to replace a lot of the functions I was using for samples between, vegas, an 808 and a emu rack sampler. Now I can use just my laptop & synth with much more flexibility and sample control for live performance. It also reduces tasks that would have taken me several hours to complete before into just a few minutes. My main con is it reduces the time I spend on my old 808 ann sampler. Lots of laptop battling cats use ableton live in terms of flexibility. I like because you can structure permutation matrixes for many alternate directions in performance. G.
