EXP029 - SILO ROMANO - POLLYANNA EP
http://experimedia.net/page.php?id=101
Memories of dreams from when you fell asleep while watching late night
public broadcasting on your ancient 13 inch television with tin foil
wrapped around the antenae. Faded images fighting against faint but
persistent static. Separated spectrums of color. The score from a
post-apocalyptic educational film. Sun drenched memories of childhood
days on the playground. The sun's warmth on your skin and it's light
in your eyes.
EXP028 - BAZAAR - PACHA'S ALE EP
http://experimedia.net/page.php?id=100
Bazaar makes his Experimedia debut with a phenominal EP, 'Pacha's
Ale'. Focusing on tribal rhythms and dissonant tonalities, Bazaar
weaves a smoky and dense tapestry of crunchy beats, samples, found
sounds, and deep bass over the course of the EP's 31 minutes. The
simplicity of the musical arrangements, and trance-inducing hand
percussion, may lend one to make initial comparisons to
'Dream-O-Rama'. However, what we have here is a work that is less
industrial but more focused than 'Op-Ep: Requiem', truly the closest
kin to 'Pacha's Ale'. The fire and raw vigor that allows Bazaar's (and
his alias Ascalaphe's) music to stand out from the crowd is not merely
intact, but more pronounced here than ever before in his catalog of
work.
EXP027 - GRASSHOPPA - SEASONAL AFFECTIVE EP
http://experimedia.net/page.php?id=98
Grasshoppa returns with 'Seasonal Affective', his second release for
Experimedia. Like a repairman listening to James Brown whilst fixing
an arcade game on fast forward, 'Hoppa shifts through difficult,
shuffling rhythms and oddly soothing melodic textures. Ever displaying
his penchant for chaos and a zeal for breakneck speeds, Grasshoppa
demonstrates on this EP, as he did on 'Lost In Gray Matter'; that no
matter how fast he drives, he is perfectly in control of the machinery
EXP026 - CASIO COMMMANDER - SELF TITLED LP
http://experimedia.net/page.php?id=96
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... War! Unh! Good God,
Y'all! Casio Commander was borne of an android and a robot. That makes
him only half-mortal. Wait... cyborg, not android. That wouldn't make
sense. So yeah, he is all from space and crap. And, luckily for us, he
makes acid electro funk disco trance glitch spacey good tunes, instead
of waging war on our puny orb. I swear, he really IS from space, he
told me so. Dance, human Earth-scum!!!
