That's right - them beats' been fixed ages ago, fnar fnar.
I suppose the broken beats mentioned here is referencing the less honed and
tidy realm of breakbeat f_ckery being produced - distorted drum hits, cut
up breaks, sub bass, glitches, acapellas ; sounds a little like hardcore
ragga/jungle, but slower and owing more to contemporary r'nb and hip hop
rhythms... with dj/rupture prob the finest exponent of the form...
Now, could anybody tell me much about this "squatcore" scene/sound ?
Like, is there a lot of good dancefloor sh!t being produced in the
squatcore scene these days or what ?
