For parties that aren't people who are into "idm",
usually glitchy, poppy mash-up shit, girltalk, bitmeddler, 606
etc. or aphex is the stuff that usually goes over.
For parties full of my usual friends who are into
idm/breakcore/jungle etc., sets for some
reason always end up being depeche mode, new order,
the cure, and the misfits, because thats what people like
to hear when they're drunk and tired of crazy beats...
