I was never a big fan of Lackluster's earlier material (namely his
releases on Monotonik & Defocus), but i was very impressed with Showcase
on Merck, & was surprised that it was so good as lot of those tracks
were from the same time period. Some of the tracks on Showcase are
superb, when he mixes his very melodic sense with good themes and beat
constructions.
Haven't heard Slice yet, but anxiously await it.

Just received the latest from Lackuster on U-Cover
records and it's very nice. The artwork is lovely and
the music keeps that classic Lackluster feel while
sounding more advanced and mature. For those
wondering, it sounds nothing like Spaces (which was an
ambient album) and is full of gentle beats and
pleasant melodies. Kudos!
