I wouldn't say it's far from the point. In fact, that
IS the point, nevermind the Orwellian direction our
society is taking, if your eyes are closed to this
open them up. Disseminating stories like this helps to
keep the public informed so thanks for sharing.
With that said however I think it's important to note
whether or not bootlegs were in fact being sold. The
NYT article mentions only 6(?) out of 20 employees and
specifically notes computers and CD/DVD burners. The
treatment of these employees before and during their
arrest is no great surprise to anyone who's been
locked up or arrested for an infraction small or
large.
The question is, did the police have just cause to
raid this store for piracy?
