As a DJ I've evolved into an entirely un-ironic Disco DJ. Well, Disco and compatible old-school house. I figure that since I'm old enough to have been around during it's heyday, I can do that. It's not really on-topic for IDM, but there are great disco tracks to play. Sometimes, obviously, the tracks are dated, but that's what edits are for. If the bedhead hipsters are into it, great, but when they've moved on to the next flavor of the moment, I'll still still be carrying the torch, because "Go Bang" rules, and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Inner Life still brings tears to my eyes.
