Hello Colin, thanks for the recommendation. Sounds like a really good book. I agree on Modulations. I don't know the book but I Saw "Modulations - the film" about three years ago in Japan. I liked the bit when Seal (by now husband of German model Heidi Klum?) said that today's youth basically suffer from postmodern cultural amnesia; and from that point onwards the film, indeed, gets a bit patchy or "undefined." By the way, I also met one of the film's weird turntablism guys with the "one-eyed sunglasses" in Japan at some hiphop(?) post-concert chill-out party or the like. Forgot his name, but a very very nice guy. I had the feeling that he didn't particularly enjoy being recognized as "the guy with the sunglasses." Well, I did recognize him - not for his music though. So much for amnesia and 1980s kind of flashy performances ; ) Cheers Stan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Enquiries" <enquiries@eleventhvolume.com> To: "idm list" <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 3:47 PM Subject: Re: [idm] Electronic Music Reading - History
