hi everyone...
i can't remember if there was much discussion about bitcrush's 'enarc' album
when it came out (i could be wrong of course!) but i'd definitely recommend
his new downloadable release on en:peg (n5md offshoot) called 'shimmer and
fade'.
it's got less synthwork and more instrumentation than 'enarc', plus more
vocals, but they aren't at all 'intrusive' and add to the feel. i've had
trouble listening to anything else, 'waiting for something' is an amazing
track, absolutely beautiful strings at the end.
i'd describe it as a more 'grown-up' ulrich schnauss (that's in no way a
slight to herr schnauss btw), a logical extension of that sound. i know a
lot of people love ulrich's music because of the emotion in it and for me
'shimmer and fade' evokes the same feelings.
