Excellent news! Cheers for that, Alan. ### Well-timed query. New show "Nathan Barley" on Channel 4 starts imminently. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/4083169.stm ### Also... ###

Which video would that be then, Clive? ### It was "My Wrongs": http://www.warprecords.com/news/news_search.php?ti_id=496&search_string=my+wrongs http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/collective/A980813 Ok, so it was a DVD! I'm starting to lose touch with all this new-fangled technology, these days! ###

I agree. Some nice ideas (like 'Synthesiser Patel' and Leonard Hatred's 'Psilence' spray, and 'What Music Will Sound Like in 2000', esp. 'The Rapping Song'), but short on Big Laffs. Generally too content to indulge in postmodern pastiching of the 70s and the presentational 'look and feel' of the pop science/magazine programmes of the day (Hey, lads. When you write these things, don't forget to er... pop in a few jokes). ### Yes, quite! It was nice to see Peter Serafinowicz getting a lead role for a change - it suited him perfectly. Overall, though, it just felt like the (excellent) ensemble cast were just killing time, when they are all capable of so much better. My favourite line (and it's almost back on-topic!) was "...the bloody bastards break into your house and steal your synthesizers!" :-D ### alan ---------------------- Alan Lockett, (Senior Language Co-ordinator, EFL), Language Centre, University of Bristol, 30-32 Tyndall's Park Road, Bristol BS8 1PY, UK Alan.R.Lockett@bristol.ac.uk tel: +44 117 3310914 fax: +44 117 9741377 ### Clive "Who's upset you, this time, Alan?"
