I think a lot of people (maybe you, too) were hoping for more Halcyon+On+On
with Snivilisation and that is not what it's about. It's definitely a darker
vibe, but the long tracks show them stretching out into proto-In Sides
material, and it is quality stuff. Consider that they kept coming back to
the themes set out in "Sad But True" (the two versions of "Sad but New"
on the second disc of In Sides) and Attached (in the Peel sessions
"Semi-Detached") -- they knew they were on to something. As if that
wasn't enough, the corker is "Are We Here", 15 minutes of absolutely
top-notch junglist Orbital. Go back and listen to it again, maybe you'll
come around...
