C'est tres difficile I suppose. The label I most respect and probably has the most success in electronic music other than Warp is Mike Paradinas' (aka Mu-Ziq, Kid Spatula, etc.) label Planet Mu. I've read that he works probably about 70 hours a week to keep everything running and decently profitable. It's definitely a labor of love (http://www.planet-mu.com). If you ask me, slsk is crushing the electronic music system--and, please, nobody start up that old bullshit file-sharing argument. I'm just as guilty because I've downloaded empires of music but eventually, one has to concede that the economics don't work out if people get your shit for free. But, having a cool label would be the greatest fun--even if I took a hit financially. It's the same principle as being a promoter. If you have to bleed a little but have a wicked party that everybody loved, then that's what it's about, innit? My two cents.... __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
