Same reason cellphone batteries need replacing, same
reason cordless phone batteries need replacing. Over
time, the batteries lose their juice and dont hold a
charge as long.
Ironically, despite my defending the issue - it's my
single greatest complaint; if I leave my iPod
uncharged in my glovebox for a few weeks it wont turn
on until I charge it again.
