the whole song sort of (the main riff) is a straight
sample from lansky's mild und liese. it's about a
minute in or so and it's obvious if you listen (the
mp3 is on his website).
it is one of the better examples of a sample being
given new life and made into a completely different
and wonderful thing without even being changed very
much (at least sonically).
lansky was my music professor for studio. he has a
good relationship with a surprising number of famous
musicians, idm (like autechre) or not (radiohead, who
apparently have sought his opinion on each of their
last few records). and he is a super cool guy to boot.
