Maybe you've noticed the occasional announcements posted here from
Dick and Jane Records. What you may not know -- or care about -- is
that these guys are my boys from Iowa City, though Mike's now in
Florida and Nik is working at the NIH in Bethesda.
And I'm not sure where Geoff (aka ElectricBlanket) is at these days
but his recent release -- which you can download in its entirety from
http://www.dickandjanerecords.com -- is in my not-entirely-biased
opinion a really nice piece of work -- think M3rck with a healthy
dollop of Boards of Canada.
And you folks need to support these guys, because they've just been
sent a Cease and Desist letter from Addison Wesley, owner of Dick and
Jane Books, demanding they rename their label. Effing effers and
their corporate branding.
