I agree. For the most part. I’ve been on this list for about 25 years now and to tell you the truth, seeing the times change and the general content, the self-promotion is great but there is absolutely nothing wrong with keeping the old discussions of the genre alive. The genre may have blown up past this point but it’s not like you can just go into it a typical music store and say hey, where is your IDM section? It’s not even very easy to find people that know what IDM is so I think that’s kind of indicative there is still absolutely a use for a discussion group.
