He recorded a lot of stuff in a small time frame and i think it shows when you compare releases like Atomic Tadley, Red Pear, Dreim, etc. I happen to like his Smiling Little Cow release the best. You could see some comparisions to '94-'95 black dog there for sure. However it's interesting to see him trying new things. I read an interview with Kettel recently and he certainly seems to have a lot of music & ideas left in him to release. Portis anyone into kettel? im listening to "cenney crush" right now and it reminds me alot of Black Dog circa "Bytes" and (to a lesser degree) "Spanners". great stuff. the ep "look at this! Ha ha ha!" is great too, but not so much like Black Dog. and ive heard samples of the new Kettel album "Volleyed Iron" which sounds like it is a very good ambient release. what other albums might i like by him? do all his albums vary so much one from another, like the above three do? -thad --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
