Hello list - Has anyone used the Edirol PCR-A30 as a portable Midi
controller/audio interface?
This and my Powerbook will my ultralight setup and the Edirol seems to
be a slightly more useful interface than the Ozone for the following
reasons:
- Midi In, which allows me to use an additional controller from my drum
set
- 27 assignalbe controllers vs. 8 for the Ozone.
- 8 Sliders - very useful for live applications
- 32 keys vs. 25
I haven't used Edirol before and I'm looking for any advice about their
controllers. The only disadvantage seems to be that the outs are RCA -
but I'll use my Digi002 in a studio setting. RCA seems to work just
fine for live settings. The Edirol seems to be a better controller than
the Ozone, but M-Audio products have always treated me well and been
reliable.
Thanks in advance for the advice!
