Hello dearest friends and allies,
Hope you are well wherever you are. First off, a special announcement:
After much thought and ponderance, Meiotic will be taking a much needed
break on the event front here in Chicago. The amount of stress, effort,
worry, and work behind what has essentially become a 95-100 hr work week is
taking its toll, and the time has come to re-valuate our approach, rekindle
our passions, listen to the birds, be one with nature... etc., etc. In the
entire universal scheme of things, what we do here really means nothing, but
we just wanted to send out a message as a courtesy to all our friends and
supporters.
That said, the upcoming events (THE PRESENT TENSION with LUOMO on March 5th
and MICHAEL MAYER & SUPERPITCHER on March 12th) will be OUR LAST EVENTS FOR
THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. We may have couple things we may throw out here and
there, however as far as full on Chicago area events... this will be it. Our
sincere heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who has continually supported us
and the artists we've booked over the past couple years. You know who you
are, and it's your support that makes it all worthwhile and possible.

-This Friday, March 5th, we have the honor of having a full-on Audio-Visual
performance from LUOMO (akaVLADISLAV DELAY). One of the world?s most
innovative electronic music artists? a Festival favorite having previously
rocked MUTEK, SONAR, and the DEMF weekend, the new Luomo record has been
getting rave reviews from an endless array of media including the likes of

DALESSANDRO's high profile work is one of Chicago's shining stars on the
international techno and techhouse stage. With production skills developed
stateside, and thoroughly primed and tested in Europe, his diverse yet fluid
sound (incorporating various bits of techhouse, acid, and dub) shines
through on his productions, which are caned by dj's the world over. Now
dedicating all of his time to producing electronic music and maintaining his
own elektriCity and elektrikmusik side projects, the clasically trained
Dalessandro workhorse mentality reflects in his virtuoso live PA. Come catch

being courted by stateside labels in Chicago & Detroit, as well as by German
labels out of Berlin & Cologne, Thomas Erdmann's POPKAN Live PA walks the
line of minimal house and techno, incorporating the use sounds from anywhere
and everywhere, uniting them into one funky and powerful statement. Tonight,
performing with vocalist Alexis Moulds, Chicago gets the sweet taste of the
POPKAN Live PA's official Meiotic debut.

The production/performance moniker of Chicago-area native, Korean born INBUM
CHO, The AVONDALE MUSIC SOCIETY has a refined and unique sound which steers

tough attitude within Inbum?s dancefloor-friendly, syncopated beats, pulls
elements from disco through techno. No secret to the underground chicago
house scene, garnering the attention of industry heavyweights such as Mark
