AMATO aamato@ctpost.com BRIDGEPORT A former employee of Cricket Hosiery, who was apparently planning an illegal rave party at the Cherry Street company's warehouse, was arrested after he and a number of others allegedly broke into the building Friday. Jonathan Bisagni, 22, of Brooklawn Avenue, who police said admitted he was the rave organizer, was charged with second-degree burglary and giving alcohol to a minor. His bond was set at $10,000. Police were alerted to the rave after a resident gave them a flyer highlighting the event, which, it said, cost $10 to attend and would include 20 disc jockeys and "free sex." Police contacted the company's owner, who said he had let Bisagni go after he rented one room at his 30,000-square-foot factory to him for a New Year's Eve event. But, the owner said, Bisagni "broke into another part of the warehouse and tagged [spray painted names and pictures] on the walls," according to the police report. The owner told police that after that incident he changed the locks on the warehouse and told Bisagni not to return. When the owner confirmed there were no permits for any event at his Cherry Street warehouse Friday night, police began to canvass the area. At one point, police approached the owner of a car running outside the building. That person said he was "dropping off DJ equipment for a rave party [that] his friend" Bisagni was throwing, according to police. Police also found a number of vehicles parked at the same location. When police checked the area, they found a rear door ajar and, after the owner confirmed the premises had been entered unlawfully, they entered the building. Once inside, they saw an "enormous open area with every wall spray painted, makeshift lighting, [and] a number of large speakers and stereo equipment being set up by about 10 people," according to a police report. Police also found quantities of alcohol and beer. All those at the warehouse were detained, and officers asked for a van to transport the suspects to police headquarters for booking. Officers also did an inventory of all the vehicles parked there. One vehicle, allegedly operated by Noel Hamilton, 19, of Wakeley Street, Shelton, contained a BB rifle and a pellet rifle, as well as pellets, police said. He was charged with possession of weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and second-degree criminal trespass. His bond was set at $10,000. Also arrested in the 6 p.m. incident was Kevin Sterbakov, 20, of Village Inn, Southport. He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and procuring liquor by a minor. His bond was set at $1,500. Police also arrested David Woran, 23, of King Street, Shelton; Lukasc Kokot, 21, of Clearview Court, Derby; David Lyman, 25, of Hawkins Street, Derby; Daniel Rofatponah, 21, of Coleman Avenue, Bridgeport; Hector Torres, 23, of West Haven; Amber Richardson, 22, of Waterbury; Alexander Meade, 22, of Waterbury and Andrew Yakovelev, 22, of Brooklyn, NY. They were each charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Bond for each was set at $1,500. The suspects are due in court Tuesday. All the cars at the scene were inventoried and towed away, according to police. Officers also destroyed all alcoholic beverages and secured the premises. After he was arrested, Bisagni apologized to his former boss for what happened, according to police.
