Hi---my name is Matt Gonzales, and I've been signed up
to the list for a few weeks, but have yet to post.
What finally moved me to add my voice to the mix is my
involvement with an experimental radio show that I'm
collaborating on with a student at Ball State
University in Muncie Indiana. I'm writing for the show
and contributing to the program. As you can imagine,
many of the artists we feature are rather obscure and
thus hard to dig up information on, so I thought that
perhaps some of you could point me to some useful
resources, or even offer some insight/information of
your own. The playlist I'm currently writing for
includes songs by Stone Glass Steel, Time Being,
Anti-Priest, Emetrics, Jim Fox, Chris Smith and Grand
Mal. Much of it is dark ambient/sound collage stuff,
and is rather new to me, as I am typically more a fan
of more well-known IDM acts like u-ziq, hrvatski,
fennesz, etc. If anybody has any input or advice on
how to go about finding info on these artists, or has
info of their own, I'd be much obliged.
