Reaktor 4 is one of my favorites too for software sound design and open
format, sim. to nord modular meets labview..also if you use your own samples
or into that kind of manipulation, abelton live is well thought out,
designable and adaptable to live sequencing needs and manipulation in real
time through midi triggers, keyboard etc..these are the two programs i get a
lot of enjoyment using in strict laptop performance but i normally use other
hardware/software in studio and performance.
