i kinda relate to this, actually - but find it hard to accept. i am
still trying :)
i.e. i still do go to shows, although i increasingly find out that i
go for the music rather than for it being live specifically. i go to
live shows because at least there is some consistence in the stuff i
hear - it represents more of a whole than going to dj gigs, however
coherent the dj is... :)
but it's true that visually i also don't expect anything anymore...
if i do, it's usually more of the multimedia type of thing, e.g. i
liked plaid also because of the visuals, and cinematic orchestra
(though they do play REAL instruments, bah :)
but mostly i like going to live shows because it's loud, and usually
on a pretty good system, at least round where i live now...
