HEH. Was American Idol as bad as Australian Idol? I mean, the entire competition (at least, the small parts of it that I watched) seemed to be filled with awful songs that you'd hear on some crappy easy listening station; which is fine, yet everybody (i.e. teenagers who are all like OMG, LATEST R&B SONG TOTALlY RULZ, DAT OTHER SONG IS SO YESTERDAY!) seemed to fucking love it, and the songs were played on the radio in amongst the pop top-40 or whatever. And hell, of course, the music industry seizes on the opportunity (they'd be stupid not to), and markets the fuck out of the music, with singles and what not, and everybody like sheep buys it, thinking it's the latest, coolest thing - in the same way they'd buy the latest Enimem album. I wonder how many people even realise that these wern't original songs? Most of these people would be all 'leik, dood, this song totally sukz' if they heard it on some early listening radio station. </bitch> R -- linux.conf.au 2004 - Adelaide, Australia http://lca2004.linux.org.au/ "Oh no, not again." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
