I mean, you're not allowed to just play back a DAT and call it a "live
performance." The performer should actually be performing, even if that
performance is only aural, not visual.

Agreed. You're not a better show because you look funny. Although you
probably make more people (of whom likely desperately need to show a
little emotion) laugh.
