I think it leaves Vincent Gallo and Broadcast in the "Indie Rock" category.
And as for Luke Vibert, I really can't understand the previously made
comments about how he has "fallen off" and gotten lazy. I like his older
stuff, but I was never the biggest fan until the recent stuff like his
planet my output and the new warp album. I cannot stop listening to YosepH,
and whenever I play out electro or breaks sets I always include a couple of
Luke's acid or ravey-style tracks, which never cease to make a whole
shedload of people get up and start dancing (including many girls that would
not dance to much other "IDM"). Also, his production techniques are
immaculate. He's got the deepest, most punching bass, and the music sounds
incredible loud. From my experience, the "bedroom sound" does not typically
encourage people to start dancing. And there are my three cents.
