Sure -- some parts are pure ambience while others are rhythmic and more "song" oriented if you will, though always undulating and jazzy as opposed to structured. There are either live or sampled percussive elements to some of the tracks and the occasional piano, brass, or guitar. Some of these instruments were recorded live according to the album's additional musician credits. It's very tastefully done. The ambient textures are deep and intriguing, and the bits and pieces of melody that surface from time to time on the recording are soothing, yet crisp. I'm off to go check out what the DVD disc has to offer... t --- Tom Butcher Codebase "Style Encoding" CD/2LP out now on Force Inc. http://www.x09music.com/codebase --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
