House is as varied as Chris Gray, The Perlon label, Hakan Lidbo - heck, the
whole Basic Channel sound has been nicknamed "heroin house".
Depends on where your ears are, but along those lines it can be heard in a
lot of the German stuffs which can be defined along minimal house/techno
lines. To dis house generally can be seen to dismiss the likes of Kompakt,
etc. Many people would argue that handbag house is not at all an accurate
representation of house any more than Moby is an accurate representation of
techno.
