A lot depends on the system you are listening on.
If I listen downstairs on my proper hi fi it sounds fantastic, wide and
beautiful. Every piece of distortion and loud shouty sound is full of
fascinating nuances that inspire and exhilarate me.
If I listen on these crappy speakers in this nasty echoey room it is
scary and offensive.
Do you need a better hi fi?

actually it depends on the friends - i accomodate them. for some
friends i bust out the black and death metal, others the jazz, others
nothing.
