I'm sure you're right on most points... though I know the dancers in
fuzzy animal outfits are all volunteers they scrounge from each
location they play at. And their props include blowing up giant
balloons with a leaf blower and odd toys and odds n' ends (i.e.
inflated toy robots hanging from the stage). The only thing that looked
like it cost anything to do was the video playing behind them that
followed the music they played. Of course someone with a decent
computer and After Effects/Final Cut Pro could set that up.
Oh... and don't forget the fake blood. Very important prop indeed.
