I think it is perfectly all right to complain both before and after the cops
come. Just because a law is enacted doesn't make it moral or rational. Just
because you made a statement doesn't mean you have the power to prevent a
stupid law from being enacted.
What can do after a stupid irrational law is enacted? You discontinue your
behavior because the risk isn't worth the reward. You can continue your
behavior and try your best to find legal loopholes, or not get caught. You
can openly rebel against the law be continuing the behavior and accepting
the consequences trying to show the public that the punishment doesn't suit
the crime....or that crime isn't a crime.
I don't have a problem with laws. All I ask is for laws to be both rational
and consistent. This is something that history has shown me is very unlikely
to happen. I don't have the strength of will to serve prison time for a
irrational law in order to prove a point. So I will continue to do what I do
while avoiding the law.
There is always canada :)
