I was thinking that artists like Cim has taken the place of the early IDM/Artificial Intelligence style in a 2000-era flava....
I have to admit, I too have become jaded and dont care for much post 1998...
this isn't to say good stuff doesn't come out, but there are a variety of reasons why we don't talk about it on this list and you've pointed to a critical one as well (IMO)
