Saw the tour in LA over the weekend.
Kid606 is definitely live and pretty much sticks to the hard poundy techno/gabber hardcore and threw in a couple idm tracks at the end. Absolutely worth checking out. He does a cover (not a mashup, but a cover) of 'Anarchy in the UK.'
I thought Dj Rupture was a bust. He played a lot of that hard aggressive dancehall/raga/dnb sound, which might be cool in the sticks, but we here in LA have about a dozen clubs playing the exact same shit and have been for years, and it's totally not what I'm into anyway, so he was a drag.
Dwayne Soderberk (sp?) was really nice. A bit darker and more intense than his album. Come early and don't miss him.
