Lee,
Thank you for your email. I think the issue with the iTrip is that the
product cannot be used with any commercial FM waveband.

Subject: I Trip
Hi,
About the I Trip.
I want one and will have one, why the RA can’t allow such a low powered
device, I have no idea.
Now I will have to buy it from the US or elsewhere, helping to improve
another countries economy a little.
I do however have a theory that would definitely work and the RA might
consider a license exemption if the unit was modified (in the design
stage) in this way:
The unit could use RDS tuner technology to find a quiet spot on the
spectrum, if it retunes its self automatically every five minutes it is
unlikely that it would even cause a problem whilst mobile.
RDS chipsets are not that expensive these days, or that big. I’m sure
this could be implemented fairly easily.
I shall leave you in peace.
With Kind regards
Lee Stacey
