i've gone off Adam Beyer quite a bit since my early drumcodes buying days...however, techno for me is the one true love that will never die. perenially unfshionable to all but a hardcore few, and misunderstood by many (especially those who like the other electronic music i do), at its best it has a complexity and power that are equal to anything in the idm or experimental electronic scenes. the perfect encapsulation of techno for me at the moment is Surgeon's "Death Before Surrender" from the British Murder Boys Ep, which covers more in 8 minutes than most artists do in a lifetime. His "Force and Form" album is unsurpassable. ______________________________________________________________________ thevillageorchestra@hotmail.com Marcia Blaine Industries : http://marciablaine.cjb.net Out Now: "Marcia Blaine School For Girls EP" re-press(Dalriada 12") "Minraud"("Red Zero Seven" cd, Struktur) "Pine Trees Make Golden Rules"(Stuff Records01 comp.12") "Pink Sticks / We" (Static Caravan 7") Forthcoming: "Miss Prism" (Static Caravan vs Expanding 10" comp.)
