While I don't think it is definitive or universal I am certain that your
personality is what decides what type of pet you choose, if any at all. Dogs
and cats definatly have different overall behaviours. So I think one could
reasonably conclude that what type of person you are (personality) could
determine what type of behaviours you liked better. And if there were anyway
to do demographics of cat and dog owner I would guess that patterns would
start emerging in the personalities of the owners.
