Hey All, Part one of this story is that Draft 7.80 is goddamn brilliant and thrills me to no end. I know that those words give you no clue about why it's so good but I'm too excited to talk about it intellectually. Anyway, part two is that when I put the CD into Winamp, the tracklist that Winamp goes to the internet and finds is very very different different from the tracklist on the CD. For instance, number 6 is "Theme of Sudden Roundabout" on the CD cover but comes up as "Prince Moth Mothy Moth Moth" on the Winamp tracklist. Well, I'll just put the two into columns to compare: CD Release Winamp 1. Xylin Room 1. Benk Chin 2. IV VV IV VV VII 2. NWNW8 3. 61E.CR 3. 606.ie 4. Tapr 4. Reppat 5. Surripere 5. Theft 6. Theme of Sudden Roundabout 6. Prince Moth Mothy Moth Moth 7. VL AL 7. Vlimpton Alpha 5 8. P.:NTIL 8. Foam Conduit 9. V-Proc 9. Uprock 10. Reniform PLus 10. Kidney Bean Some of those track differences are comical to me. Anyway, is this an intended "fun with track names" game or is anybody else getting variations? Track names are not really all that important- just thought it was funny. Also, for those of you who have seen "The Ring"- all of those interference scenes and sounds remind me so much of Autechre's new direction. For those of you that haven't seen it, see it for the quasi-IDM references with the A/V technology glitches and whatnot in the movie; however, it might send you running to mommy with a blanket in your hand (it scared the piss out of me). There you go. Counts __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
