See, i picked it up on the strength of the recent reviews on the list,
saying "oh, claro isn't very good but Qtio is really good, it's not biting
autechre at all!" and, well, yeah -- autechre generally keep an overall
feeling going for a song, instead of messing it up so you can't get into
it.
Maybe i'm just stupid but there's a fine line between 'controlled chaotic
patterns' and 'let's fuck this up'
there were good parts, but it reminded me too much of the recent
smak compilation stuff -- too much "let's fuck this up", not enough
composition.
